River Camping

Our riverside campsite with a natural thermal pool is located about 30 minutes from our B&B, on the banks of the famous Apurímac River, in the so-called “eyebrow of the Peruvian jungle”.
Surrounded by carob trees, banana plants and cacti, this peaceful place offers a rare blend of jungle and Andes — a perfect spot to relax, swim and reconnect with nature.

Riverside camping facilities

At our riverside campsite, guests can set up their own tent, van or motorhome, or choose to stay in one of our rental tents.
The campsite is equipped with a toilet, warm shower, barbecue area, lounge chairs and access to the thermal pool.

The thermal pool

The thermal pool is naturally fed by warm water flowing directly from the surrounding rocks. Locals say the mineral-rich water helps relieve muscle aches, rheumatism and joint pain.
With water temperatures ranging between 20 and 29°C and a breathtaking view over the Apurímac Canyon, the pool offers a deeply relaxing experience — a place where even the busiest minds can truly slow down.

Getting there

There are several ways to reach our riverside campsite from Curahuasi, including taxi, public transportation or as part of one of our tours.
Have a look at our different tour options to find the one that suits you best.

Food & meals

A freshly prepared breakfast can be provided on request.
After a day of hiking, swimming or relaxing by the river, guests can enjoy a selection of local dishes, lovingly prepared by us or by one of our “tías”.

Reservation

To keep this place peaceful and well cared for, stays and visits to the riverside campsite are possible by reservation only.

“Wonderful location”

The B&B is lovely… From the balcony, you have a very nice view over the region. The B&B is part of an NGO educational project for toddlers and children with disabilities, enriching and cozy!
Beautiful and beautifully maintained garden for playing and sports, all kinds of animals present… Our stay really felt like coming home!
