Rafting until our private campsite with thermal pool

The Apurimac River “talking god” is considered as 1 of the top 3 rivers in the world for rafting. What counts are the good conditions of the river to realize this sport: a good climate, strong but safe rapids (depending on the time of the year) and our thermal pool at the end.

1-day trip

We depart from Curahuasi at 8 am and drive for half an hour through the astonishing countryside until we arrive at our starting point, the bridge of Kunyak. Here we prepare ourselves for our adventure!

The adventure begins with our guides handing out the equipment and a safety talk. The boats will be accompanied by a kayaker to guarantee the best security. It is possible to take some inner tubes with us in case you want to try out tubing.

We paddle for about 2 hours through rapids level II – III until we arrive at our private campsite with a thermal pool where lunch awaits us! After relaxing, we return to Curahuasi. It is possible to combine whitewater rafting with puenting into an exhilarating day of river adventure!

2-day trip

On the first day we leave after lunch to our private campsite and set up camp. Afterwards there is time to relax and swim in the pool. In the late afternoon we prepare a nice barbecue after which we enjoy a campfire under the stars and those who want to can still enjoy night swimming in our thermal pool. On the second day, after a healthy breakfast, we set off to the bridge of Kunyak, as in the 1-day trip.

In Cusco there exists one day rafting trips to the river of Urubamba, the downside of that trip is that the climate is cold and the drive to the rafting spot is long.
