Enjoy this great kayaking course with our professional instructors at our private campsite with thermal pool. Here we have the best conditions to learn to kayak: the lowest part of the Apurimac river, good weather, a private beach with a private pool to practice the ‘eskimo roll’ and relax after training.
Day 1
At 9 o’clock in the morning we drive to our private campsite and set up our tents on our private beach. In the morning we will start learning the ‘eskimo roll’ (= how to get back to the surface without falling out of the kayak) in our private pool. And after a traditional lunch we will set off to the flat part of the river to learn to paddle. At the end of the afternoon, we prepare a delicious barbecue (chicken, beef or vegetarian) after which we enjoy a campfire under the stars.
Day 2
After breakfast, in the morning we practice more of our ‘eskimo roll’ in the pool or in the river flat. And those who want to, can try some tricks. After lunch, we drive by car for 30 minutes to the Kunyac bridge, from where we will start descending the river. We will run levels I and II and learn how to use the counter currents. In the evening we prepare another barbecue and campfire.
Day 3
After breakfast we will drive for 45 minutes to the river, to continue our course on the class I and II+ rapids. After lunch you can still relax at the pool, before returning to Curahuasi.
