River tubing

We depart from Curahuasi at 8am and drive for half an hour through the astonishing countryside until we arrive at our starting point the bridge of Kunyak. Here we prepare ourselves for our adventure!

Tubing consists of descending down the Apurimac River on top of an inner tire. Tube riders are conveyed by the current of the river while paddling with their hands to steer. The size of the tube allows you to ride the river more freely than with rafting or kayaking and you will be closer to the water as ever. As in all water sports, you will receive appropriate safety gear, such as life vests and helmets. The tube riders will be accompanied by a raft boat for safety. So when you get cold or just want to try out some rafting, it is possible to switch. After 2 or 3 hours we arrive at Cconoc where the thermal baths and lunch awaits us! After relaxing, we return to Curahuasi.

It is possible to combine whitewater tubing with puenting into an exhilarating day of river adventure!
